dreamer, poet, barbarian (not necessarily always in that order).
My Story:
after winning a race through the fallopian tube, i thought my job was complete and i could rest. most certainly, i was winded. on top of that, i was aquatic and i loved it. when quarters became cramped, i started to fidget. the situation worsened, then with a swat of a hand everything changed. first thing i noticed was i needed air because i now had lungs. i quickly realized I was born into unconsciousness, so now i spend the rest of my time trying to wake up. film provides me with a tangible record of my progress; progress that has unfortunately been glacial in its movement. hopefully with global warming and the good people i have met at SECTFILMS, progress will begin to move more rapidly.
i have written several stories that i hope to turn into screenplays and make into film. put a few beers in me, keep me upright, and i will tell you a story or two, but cut me off before i become redundant.
my motto: REGRET OF THE PAST AND FEAR OF THE FUTURE ARE THE TWINS THIEVES THAT ROB YOU OF THE PRESENT. I read it on an outhouse wall in Homer, Alaska in 1992. Strange how Zen an outhouse can be at 20 below.
My Projects:
whistle..the story of a music conductor whose inability to whistle leads him to the edge of madness. made and released thru thinfilms in alaska.
Bubba..a film i wrote, filmed and directed. "a dog's life is too short..their only fault, really". A ghengis88 production released in alaska.
Never Again...i was a run hither boy, (actually post middle aged man)...thoroughly enjoyed it.
Victims and Villains...assistant director..still a run hither post middle aged man, but i could yell cool stuff like, "quiet on the set". loads of fun working with an awesome crew.
That's All Folks! assistant director on the Friday evening shoot, and general roustabout on the Saturday shoot, with a stint as chef tell. long day, most everyone worked out great.
Losing Sophia...assistant director. Fun shoot done around the Devil's Hop Yard. Again an excellent crew and a lot of fun.
My Brother,
In a half hour I have to leave to take Pax to be put down. My heart is breaking into a million pieces. Her spine is failing and now she can't walk as well as she didn't eat. I am at a loss for words, but I wanted you to know.
My Brother,
It would be my pleasure to be part of it. I am so glad the trip went well. Give me a shout and we can discuss that among other things. Glad your back.
Dean
her broth,
yeah, we had some good laughs. Pax is struggling. She is really having trouble. But she still is eating and I am helping her get around. This is going to be a tough one. Otherwise hope we all can get together soon. I will keep you posted cause I know when this comes down I will need the support. Bitter won't describe it. Shalom,
Had a great time at by the fire on Halloween night. I can clearly picture the scenes in my head of your story telling.
Also I hope you had a zoom lens when capturing the polar bears. That must have been amazing.
