I made my first film "Tough Target" when I was 16. I was a member of the film club at Watkinson High school. In my senior year I made a film that was a satire on my life at Watkinson, including my teachers and friends. The film was a great success After that I worked at the Wesleyan University World Music Archives editing video-recorded music concerts. This was during the summers of 2007 and 2008 where I was preserving to DVD, film footage of miscellaneous concerts. From 2005-2009 I attended Hampshire College and made 3 films in 16mm and 4 films on mini-DV video. My final thesis was a 45 minute film, 'Getting Nowhere'. It was completed and presented in May 2009. In the summer of 2009 I participated in the CT Film Industry Training Program held at Middlesex Community College. Student's in this program took classes in various departments of filmmaking, which were taught by people who have work in Hollywood . These people were: David Elkins (camera), Louis Guerra (assistant director), Doug Armstrong and Michael Barrow (lighting and grip), Virginia McCarthy (script supervisor), Larry Loewinger (sound), Daniel Strol (location managment), and Michael Boonstra (Production Coordinator). I worked with David Elkins in the camera dept. During the last week of the workshop, everyone involved in the workshop made a 15 minute film called 'Down to the Wire' and submitted it to various film festivals all across CT. Through this program I was also certified to operate an aerial lift for any grip-related jobs. From July-October 2009 I was an intern for a documentary filmmaker, Steve Foreman (3ring Film productions in Northampton Massachusetts). I worked on a documentary, 'Boxing Stories' which is currently in process of being produced by HBO. I started off at the Production company taking notes on dailies, and worked my way up to Assistant Editor. From there I went on some film shoots and worked as a camera operator and production assistant.
