My Title:
AMORA - The Spiritual Girl has arrived!
My Story:
AMORA, a.k.a. The Spiritual Girl, has spent many years underground honing her vision and craft as a Pop/HipHop/Rock/Soul Recording Artist. Carefully strategizing her level of exposure as a creative entertainer and known for her energetic and spontaneous personality, she has earned respect for musical genre-bending and intertwining rap and song. Born and raised in Middletown, CT she recently arrived back to her home state after a decade of living in New York City. This soulful siren has performed in over 400 shows in NYC, LA, Chicago, Philly, D.C. and throughout the Northeast. She has been featured on OPRAH, SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO, and appeared in various regional/local television programs. In 2006 her debut album, “PLATINUM HEART” was released independently by Heiros Gamos Entertainment, a company she founded in 2001. Her music can be found on MySpace and iTunes, as well as over 60 internet music sites, and on satellite/major/internet/college radio. DJ’s are spinning her songs in clubs all over the world. Her second album, "THE SPIRITUAL GIRL" was released on November 1st, during RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS 3 in Middletown, CT. The video for the 1st single, "SO UNEXPECTED", was filmed in 2008 and RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS 2. The Spiritual Girl is writing and recording with several producers for her 1st album with Major Distribution. Her musician roster is tailored to fit any venue (also stepping up with other bands as a special guest); appearing at bars, lounges, cafes, nightclubs, showcases and festivals. Currently, AMORA is the host of Comcast’s “Cromwell’s New Direction” with the First Selectman, various political figures and interesting citizens. She is featured in many independent videos promoted all over the web (Angel Eyes Prod. from CT), and was featured in SESAC's Spring 2008 Magazine in their coveted "NEW AND NOW" Artists. She is in production with BROADWAY BULLET to be featured in, "CUPID", a refreshingly new Pop musical movie, which will showcase the experienced actress and her versatility. Recently, she had an interview and impromptu performance appearing on Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s “STREET FUNK” with Host DJ Mello Mike and also an appearance on “The Jump Off” and "Up and Coming" in CT via Comcast. As well, she recently participated in a project for Viacom and their VH1 network. Serving as President and CEO of HEIROS GAMOS, she launched the national showcase RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS from CT in 2007, featuring a talented roster of HEIROS GAMOS’ ALLIED ARTISTS. This versatile and spontaneous artist was recently chronicled in the upcoming documentary “MUSIC...THE MOVIE” from HELLO ART SOCIETY Director Melissa Lefton due out in 2009. She's been actively involved in the breakthrough of NEXT BIG HIT’s New Indie Music website and showcases (now an iTunes Top 100 Podcast), and featured in REP YO HOOD VOL. 2. She is a Voting Member of THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF RECORDING ARTS AND SCIENCES and participates often with their humanitarian and social causes. SESAC invited her in as a Songwriter and Publisher (AngelicA.L. Worx, Inc.), and has fostered her potential for ten years now. She has donated her efforts to ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER’S INNER CITY GAMES events and MUSICARES. AMORA has proven to be a charitable champion of the people. What makes her successful is experience on both sides of the desk, having worked in A&R for DEF JAM and many other independent entertainment organizations. She is respected from the streets to the boardroom. She’s a strong benevolent leader who fights for the children and hopes to put CT on the creative map. She is a revolutionary like her historically famous grandfather, Max Corvo, who was Head of Operations for the O.S.S. in Italy during WWII and whose strategic plan was responsible for capturing Mussolini. Raised in a political family known for their strong integrity there’s no telling what this “Diamond in the Rough” is capable of. Only time will tell...The Spiritual Girl has arrived!
