To promote independent filmmaking in Connecticut

Andrew Clyde Bell

Seeking scripts, talent, crew, and ideas...for 2009 indie film productions

Hello CT FILM Space. Andrew the local producer/director/shooter editor guy here. I upgraded my gear this year to HD. I am currently shooting with a Sony Ex3 and a 35mm lens adapter. My kit includes a 28mm 50mm and 85mm primes as well as other fixed and telephoto lens. This allows the camera to achieve an incredible narrow depth of field. DOF adapters give guys like us the million dollar look or film look so many of us desire.

I also have a nice ENG audio kit and 17in HD Field Monitor and access to lighting and grip equipment. Anyhow, The Sony shoots full raster HD and the look is amazing. You basically get a high end film or video look without spending the big bucks. For some of you that know cameras you may also find it interesting that the Sony EX3 is apart of the Cinealta family. It also records 1920 x 1080i to SD cards or hard drive. Making it a mean little camera for making indie films and high end corporate videos, commercials or other HD programming.

So my goal over the next 8 months is to shoot a few short movies with this gear. I also would like to shoot a trailer to a historical horror flick I am working on.

The plan is to put together a crew and pool of actors that could work together over this entire time period. Im looking for synergy and the hope for a bunch of us to evolve as we move through each production. I want us to grow as people as well as sculpt our act and profession. Ideally the talent would be a small group of actors that already work and feel comfortable together, but, an eager group performers that hit it off the moment they step into the room works for me too. Crew can be of all levels. Again, Im looking for commitment and the willing to learn.

So, If you or anyone you know would like to get involved, or has what it takes please contact me. I would like to connect with writers, crew, actors and actresses alike.

On another note, if you have a script or movie you would like to shoot with my gear please feel free to contact me as well. I am very interested in other projects in need of gear or help.

Best
Andrew

Ooooooooo - historical horror?! I'm IN. Or at least, I'd like to be! I "majored" in props and set dressing during the 2009 CT FITP at Quinnipiac U. last month, and I'd like to hone those skills if possible - but I'd be more than willing to assist as an art department or set P.A. as well, if need be...

If it's not too much to ask, I would love to be part of this production. Let me know if there's anything.
